We’ve had an exciting few weeks here at Big Cheese HQ. Not only have we launched our new website, we’ve also discovered we’re on two awards shortlists!
Firstly, The Ultimate Cheese Making Kit has been shortlisted for Best Vegetarian Innovation of 2015/16 in the Veggie Awards! The Ultimate Cheese Making Kit launched in June 2015 and contains everything needed to make 8 varieties of fresh cheese, and comes with a range of herbs and spices, 3 cheese moulds, and a glorious recipe book. Ingredients for The Ultimate are vegetarian, gluten free, and sourced organically where possible. There are even suggestions on what to do with your whey – the by-product of cheese making – so nothing need go to waste!
It’s an amazing honour to have our product on the awards shortlist, and we’re hugely excited to discover the outcome towards the end of May!
Secondly, we had notice yesterday that The Big Cheese Making Kit is a finalist at the Made In Scotland Awards for the category of Food & Drink Company of the Year! We’re hugely proud of our Scottish heritage, and our Scottish Crowdie Kit has introduced cheese makers from all over the world to the delights of Scottish cheeses! All of our Kits were conceived, developed and manufactured in Scotland and we’re delighted we were able to do so. We find out the results at the award ceremony April 21st.
We couldn’t have done it without you all so a big cheesy thank you! Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for us and we’ll be sure to let you know when the results are out!
