Halloumi Making Kit
Our ever popular Halloumi Kit has been realuanched to include a recipe for ‘Greek Style Cheese’! We’re not allowed to call it by it’s real name but we ‘BET-A’ you can figure it out!
It contains everything needed to make these two fresh cheeses in your own kitchen with no fancy equipment. All you need to add is milk, and a little yoghurt for Greek Style Cheese. The Halloumi requires 4 litres of readily available ‘unhomogenised’ milk. All major supermarkets sell this, it’s simply Gold Top.
Buy a kit and be amazed at how good your cheese tastes and how smug you feel! Or alternatively buy a Kit as a gift and sit back and relax in your role as Cheese Taster Extraordinaire!
The Halloumi you make will be better than any shop bought Halloumi you’ll have tasted. Our lovely customer Andy told us, ‘it’s simply the best Halloumi since I was in Cyprus 35 years ago.’ High praise indeed!
Traditionally made from a mixture of sheep and goat’s milk, Feta is now wildly made from cow’s milk. Once you’ve made a batch, try it in our Spanakopita recipe that’s included in the Kit’s amazing recipe booklet!
The Kit contains enough ingredients to make 12 batches, and each batch is between 300-600g…that’s a lot of cheese! There’s no need to make it all at once though… that would be a crazy amount of cheese! Stored in your cupboard this kit will last absolutely ages (well over a year) so you have plenty of time to enjoy it and dip in and out of cheese making.

This is the latest and third kit I have tried so far and I love it! To sit down with a plate of grilled Halloumi that I had made was so very satisfying. A slightly longer process than the other kits but that just meant more fun! I would sincerely recommend getting one because you’ll enjoy it so much.
it’s like no shop bought cheese I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely amazing! So creamy and tasty. A lot easier than I thought it would be too!” Gill
The cheese itself turned out really well, and we were surprised and pleased with our results. We made one batch of plain cheese, and one with mint, and liked them both equally well. We shall be making more cheese very soon!
Received the Halloumi kit as a gift and love it! Definitely easier the second time I used it, so next time will be a breeze! Delicious
Just made Halumi with my 11yo, also made soda bread with they whey – best tea ever!
Simply the best Halloumi since I was in Cyprus 35 years ago, Cheers everyone
I had been given the halloumi kit for Christmas and embarrassingly hadn’t gotten around to it. So today was the day!
Bought the Sainsbury’s taste the difference jersey creamy milk (non pasteurised). Got all the stuff ready first and read and re-read the instructions.
Everything went to plan. I think the one thing that worried me was how quickly the milk got to 32 deg c and I worried that I’d done that bit wrong. However it then sits in the sink for 45 mins at same temp, which helped me to have the confidence I’d got the temperature right.
Had to find a big stock pan out as did the full seven pints at once. Glad I did though as might as well do a reasonable batch at a time and share!
Wasn’t sure how much mint to add, so only did half a tsp. Will put more next time, as I was worried doing the recipe for the first time, about over doing the flavour.
Really enjoyed and relatively straight forward. Just follow the instructions and cheese appears!

I love halloumi and making it at home produces a delicious cheese. I’m not sure I could go back to the supermarket one now…I can eat a whole batch just dry fried in a pan with sweet chilli sauce. Or it’s delicious battered and fried. Just divine!
