It’s incredibly straightforward, a great introduction to cheesemaking. The Halloumi Making Kit comes with Organic Dried Mint so you can achieve that traditional Cypriot taste.

(this might be our new favorite Kit but shhhhh, don’t tell the other Kits!)

The Kit contains enough ingredients to make 12 batches.  Each batch is around 600g…that’s a lot of cheese! There’s no need to make it all at once though… that would be a crazy amount of cheese! Stored in your cupboard this kit will last absolutely ages (well over a year) so you have plenty of time to enjoy it and dip in and out of cheese making.

Kit contains:

  • Step by step instructions and guide
  • Organic Dried Mint
  • Organic Sea Salt
  • Vegetarian Rennet
  • Butter Muslin
  • Dairy Thermometer

The Halloumi Making Kit requires 4 litres of readily available ‘unhomogenised’ milk (Gold Top Milk) which can be found in all major supermarkets and many Farm Shops and Delis.

Ingredient List: Organic Sea Salt 150g, Organic Mint 30g, Vegetarian Rennet (Enzymatic Microbial Coagulant)

Allergens: See ingredient list above for potential allergens. Packaged in an environment where trace elements of nut may be found.

Our kits are designed with the environment in mind and packaging/components are recyclable or compostable.

This is the latest and third kit I have tried so far and I love it! To sit down with a plate of grilled Halloumi that I had made was so very satisfying. A slightly longer process than the other kits but that just meant more fun! I would sincerely recommend getting one because you’ll enjoy it so much.

it’s like no shop bought cheese I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely amazing! So creamy and tasty. A lot easier than I thought it would be too!” Gill

The cheese itself turned out really well, and we were surprised and pleased with our results. We made one batch of plain cheese, and one with mint, and liked them both equally well. We shall be making more cheese very soon!

I had been given the halloumi kit for Christmas and embarrassingly hadn’t gotten around to it. So today was the day!
Bought the Sainsbury’s taste the difference jersey creamy milk (non pasteurised). Got all the stuff ready first and read and re-read the instructions.
Everything went to plan. I think the one thing that worried me was how quickly the milk got to 32 deg c and I worried that I’d done that bit wrong. However it then sits in the sink for 45 mins at same temp, which helped me to have the confidence I’d got the temperature right.
Had to find a big stock pan out as did the full seven pints at once. Glad I did though as might as well do a reasonable batch at a time and share!
Wasn’t sure how much mint to add, so only did half a tsp. Will put more next time, as I was worried doing the recipe for the first time, about over doing the flavour.
Really enjoyed and relatively straight forward. Just follow the instructions and cheese appears!
    Many thanks.

I love halloumi and making it at home produces a delicious cheese. I’m not sure I could go back to the supermarket one now…I can eat a whole batch just dry fried in a pan with sweet chilli sauce. Or it’s delicious battered and fried. Just divine!
